NARTIST IS FOR REAL
Milan, Villa Necchi Campiglio, 22nd March 2017
Art and design found the perfect balance: Nartist.
The magnificent Villa Necchi Campiglio hosted the launch of the Nartist project, promoted by Gruppo DOIMO acting as industrial partner. Doimo strongly believes in the importance of art. The Group has, in fact, always promoted art in the furnishing sector as an expression of “a job carried out to the highest standards”.
This time Gruppo DOIMO went even further and decided to take the challenge, co-operating with professionals in the artistic field. This led to a new project, with the company acting as the key player.
What is Nartist actually?
It is art, design, creativity, collecting, a new way of expressing oneself. This combination of art and furnishing offers new shapes and ways to interact with art at home.
Ivonis Doimo, Francesco Nicastri e Luca Borriello.
Two products by Doimo were the highlights of the evening: the kitchen cupboard Mood by Doimo Design and the sofa Roland by Doimo Salotti. These pieces of furniture were enhanced with works of art. The frame, connecting element between furniture and work of art, marks the industrial product and highlights the painting it contains. The distinctive feature of all products designed for Nartist is the interchangeability of the works of art that can be inserted in the NARTIST frame.
The works that were showcased at the launching evening are signed by the artists of Studio d’Arte Cannaviello, involved in the project by Enzo Cannaviello, a Nartist supporter and president for three mandates of the Associazione Nazionale Gallerie d’Arte Moderna Contemporanea (National Association of Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries).
It was a truly fascinating evening that allowed guests to experience various types of art. The villa’s gardens hosted an exhibition of street artists, while a scribe performed a live scribing of the key moments in the Glass House.
The project authors gave a precious contribution to the evening. Francesco Nicastri, creator of the NARTIST patent, opened the event, followed by the project’s partners and supporters: Ivonis Doimo and Andrea Olivi for Gruppo Doimo; Umberto Chiodi, artist for Studio d’Arte Cannaviello and Luca Borriello, research director of INWARD, Observatory for Urban Creativity. All these contributions captured the audience’s attention and curiosity.

The project Nartist – Doimo offers the public an innovative product, while looking for, and supporting, emerging artists, promoting new types of co-operation and connection between art and design.
Nartist will certainly have people talking about it for a long time, as it was born out of the co-operation and mutual support of various experts with the common goal to achieve new types of artistic experience.
A new reality in which art, collecting and industry meet in order to create value.
